Dr. Molefi Asante, founder of Temple University’s African-American Studies PhD program, and Temple assistant professor Dr. Aaron Smith joined Andrea Lawful-Sanders on The Source to discuss allegations of discriminatory practices against Black professors in the university’s Liberal Arts Program.

Vivian Chang, executive director of Asian Americans United and member of the Save Chinatown Coalition, joined Tonya Pendleton on Reality Check to discuss the overwhelming opposition towards the proposed 76 Place arena in Chinatown.

Lawyer Christopher Norwood made his weekly appearance on Dr. James Peterson’s Evening WURDs segment “Critical Commentary with Cousin Chris” to discuss interpretations of the 13th amendment and the fatal collapse earlier this week of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore.

Chantay Love is the executive director of Every Murder is Real (EMIR), a nonprofit organization that services and supports those affected by homicide. She joined Solomon Jones on Wake Up With WURD to speak about the anniversary of her brother’s death and how it became a catalyst to battle gun violence.

Elaine Fultz and Karen Melton from the Citizen Climate Lobby joined P.O.C. on ecoWURD Magazine to discuss the organization’s ongoing success with sustainability practices that have been beneficial to Philadelphia including successfully getting Amtrak to ditch plans for fossil fuel heating in 30th Street Station.
