Malcolm Nance is a U.S. Navy veteran, intelligence analyst, author, and media commentator. Nance joined Wake Up With WURD with Solomon Jones to talk about the Trump Administration’s “secret” war with Venezuela, the deployment of the National Guard and federal agents to Black and brown U.S. cities. He called for African-American leadership to hold daily press conferences and begin organizing a massive response.

Janet M. Taylor is the CEO of “Got Clutter, Get Organized” and joined Soulful Sunrise with Karen Taylor Bass to discuss solutions for procrastination and the importance of prioritizing your healthcare. Taylor also encouraged listeners to organize their health and wellness by coming to appointments with questions already prepared, using smart devices to keep track of scheduled appointments, and storing all important healthcare documents in a safe location, away from fire and water.

Philadelphia City Councilmember Jeffery Young represents the city’s 5th Council District and joined Evening WURDs with Dr. James Peterson to talk about the upcoming elections and voter engagement. Young also responded to reports from constituents and his challenger, Jalon Alexander, that he has failed to develop public spaces such as the Cecil B. Moore Library, swimming pools and affordable housing.

Lindsay Owens is the executive director of Groundwork Collaborative, an organization that fights to change economic policy and break up concentrations of private power. Owens joined Tiffany Bacon on The Midday Break Room to discuss the impending financial crisis facing Americans due to massive spikes in healthcare and cost of living and the new Republican-led budget law, which could cause over half a million families in Pennsylvania to lose Medicaid assistance.

Dr. Jonathan Wilson is the author of “Erased: A History of Black Progress and White Backlash,” a book that explores the deep intersection between environmental racism and historical erasure. Wilson joined ecoWURD Magazine with P.O.C. to discuss the legacy and impact of the Million Man March, 30 years later. He also detailed historical patterns where moments of Black progress were met with white backlash, explaining how these recurring patterns have culminated in modern environmental racism.
