Joy Reid, national correspondent and host of “The ReidOut” on MSNBC, joined James Peterson on Evening WURDs to discuss her new book “Medgar & Myrlie,” which details the lives, love story, and sacrifices made by the Evers in Mississippi during the civil rights movement.

Council member Isaiah Thomas joins Solomon Jones on Wake Up With WURD to discuss how young Black men rarely vote in crucial elections. Thomas is spearheading an initiative aimed to educate the young voters.

Loree D. Jones Brown, CEO of hunger-relief agency Philabundance, spoke extensively to The Source host, Andrea Lawful-Sanders, on how the organization provides culturally diverse and nutritious food to those in the community that are in need.

Jeff Mason and Muhammad Abdur-Rahim are both retired law enforcement officers that joined Love & Life with Carol Riddick for an insightful conversation about their experiences with battling prostate cancer and changing the stigma of Black men receiving early detection screenings and treatment. 

Creative director and Vice President of the Philadelphia Flower Show Seth Pearsoll told ecoWURD magazine host P.O.C. the diverse appeal and the meticulous planning involved and the Flower Show’s mission for horticulture accessibility for everyone.
