Sherri Shepherd is an actress, comedian, author and the host of her own talk show, “Sherri,” which has earned five Daytime Emmy nominations. Shepherd joined The Midday Break Room with Tiffany Bacon to talk about her show, journey and struggles in the entertainment industry and about her new film, Tyler Perry’s “Straw.”

Gov. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania joined Wake Up With WURD with Solomon Jones to talk about his pending budget proposal, which has been delayed due to a divided legislature. He also addressed key concerns around mass transit and SEPTA, and how his administration’s work is being impacted under the Trump administration.

Agnes Davis is a cardiac perfusionist, swim instructor, and the creator of the “Fear of Water” curriculum, which addresses the stark disparities in swimming proficiency within the Black community. She joined Soulful Sunrise with Karen Taylor Bass to discuss how targeted education can dismantle generational fears and promote the importance of family water safety.

Stanley Crawford, founder of the Black Male Community Council of Philadelphia and the Breaking the Chains of Psychological Slavery Institute, joined Dr. James Peterson on Evening WURDs alongside activist Kofi Asante. They discussed the grand opening of the institute, the powerful work they’re doing in the community, and their shared commitment to giving back and creating a lasting impact.

Musiq Soulchild, Philly-born R&B and neo-soul icon, stopped by The Midday Break Room to reflect on the challenges he’s faced as an artist, his extensive music catalog and why supporting Black media is more important than ever.
