Senator Bob Casey spoke on Wake Up With WURD with Solomon Jones about President Biden’s announcement to stop sending artillery to Israel if it continues to target Rafah. Casey also spoke about the recent “encampment resolution” in Kensington. 

Mike Africa Jr. is the son of two political prisoners of the MOVE organization. He spoke to Solomon Jones about embarking on 13 half marathons until 2025 to commemorate each victim of the 1985 MOVE bombing.

Actor and singer Leon joined Reality Check with Tonya Pendleton to discuss his upcoming movie “The Rhythm and The Blues,” a true story of blues musician Eddie Taylor and his battles with industry corruption and the British Invasion’s cultural appropriation of the genre.

Tommy Joshua is the founder and executive director of Philly Peace Park and President of the Peacetown Commons Land Trust. He spoke to Andrea Lawful-Sanders on The Source about how the land trust brings environmental justice to the city and Black residents.

Timothy Bennett, Catherine Reuter and Jackie Saez are members of the New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) and joined P.O.C. on ecoWURD Magazine to talk about its newly implemented compost program and how environmental education can beautify Kensington.
