Avis Wanda McClinton, founder of the 339 Manumissions and Beyond Project, joined The Source’s Andrea Lawful Sanders along with several members of the organization to discuss their ongoing project to uncover the lost history of Philadelphia’s founding Quakers, who enslaved Africans. 

Ernest Crim III, a Black history educator and influencer, spoke with Tonya Pendleton on Reality Check about the legacy of Shirley Chisolm, who was the first Black woman elected to the United States Congress. 

Nina Ball, director of programming and education at the African American Museum of Philadelphia, joined Dr. James Peterson of Evening WURDs to introduce the upcoming exhibit highlighting printmaker Dox Thrash and highlight the museum’s oratory contest for high school students. 

Ramat Jadesola Owolabi and Rofiyat Abubakar of Plogging Nigeria joined P.O.C on ecoWURD Magazine to share their inspiring journeys, youth engagement and government support for environmental justice and how they are fortifying a sustainable future for Nigeria’s environment.
