President Joe Biden visited Philadelphia for the second anniversary of the Jan. 6 insurrection, which he described as ‘the day we almost lost America.’ Wake Up With WURD host Solomon Jones documented President Joe Biden’s visit.

Larry Krasner, Philadelphia’s district attorney, joined Wake Up With WURD to discuss his lawsuit challenging Pennsylvania state law Act 40, which allows the state to appoint a special prosecutor to handle crimes that take place in or around SEPTA stations and bus stops.

Dr. Katherine Sherif is the professor and vice chair of the department of medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. She joined The Source with Andrea Lawful-Sanders to give listeners a crash course on breast cancer, including prevention, screenings and patient journeys.

Dr. Ayo Maria Gooden joined Carol Riddick on Love & Life to discuss the pros and cons of online dating, whether couples should wait until marriage to have sex, Jonathan Majors’s guilty verdict and more.

Kayla Miller, a student activist from Chester, joined P.O.C. on ecoWURD Magazine to discuss the critical topic of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Miller explained in detail how LNG will impact local Black and Brown communities.

Reality Check host Tonya Pendleton hosted a panel titled “New Year, New You” with certified yoga instructor Karen Taylor Bass; dentist Dr. Cherise Austin; entrepreneur and chef Nancie Greene; and author and OB/GYN Dr. Joy’El Ballard. The group discussed wellness, health and new beginnings in 2024.
