This week on WURD: Robert Woodson Sr. on activism today, healing after violence, Trump’s troubles in Georgia and more

Robert Woodson Sr. joined Michael Coard on Evening WURDs where he discussed his recent article arguing that the key issue facing the Black community today is a “victimhood mentality” fostered by racial grievance and demands for reparations. 

Actress and director Kim Fields joined Tonya Pendleton on Reality Check to discuss the 30-year anniversary of the classic Black TV show Living Single as well as her Signature Blends by KF, a line of coffee, teas and coffee dry rubs. 

Dr. Timothy Golden, professor at Whitman College and former criminal defense attorney, joined Solomon Jones on Wake Up with WURD to discuss the latest legal maneuver by Trump’s fellow defendants to try to escape prosecution in Georgia.

Tahira Fortune, who founded Voices by Choices after losing her son Samir to gun violence, joined Tonya Pendleton in a special broadcast at 8th and Diamond Playground to discuss how communities can heal from violence.

Kadida Kenner joined guest host Bishop Dwayne Royster on Solutions to talk about the New Pennsylvania Project, a voter engagement initiative geared toward ensuring the Black community is represented at the polls.
