Gun Violence: Joann Bell and Rita Hill conducted a live broadcast at the Philadelphia School District building. They interviewed several high school students who shared their stories about being victims of gun violence and knowing peers and family who were victims of gun violence.
Incarceration: Anton Andrew, education and advocacy fellow at the Pennsylvania Prison Society, joined Evening WURDs to discuss Gov. Shapiro cutting funding for the family connection program. Later in the show, Nick and Anton are joined by Virginia Hammond, a mother who used the program to visit her incarcerated son.
