Chris Murray receives NABJ Salute to Excellence Award

Sportswriter Chris Murray, host of the Saturday “Murray Report” show on WURD Radio, was among the journalists honored by the National Association of Black Journalists during the organization’s annual convention in Las Vegas last week. 

Murray received one of NABJ’s Salute to Excellence Awards for his Philadelphia Sunday Sun column “Too Much Magic?” about the scrutinization of Black women by sporting officials in the wake of the Tokyo Olympics.
