Details

Mercy Neighborhood Ministries of Philadelphia, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create partnerships and services that respond to the needs of those who are poor in the North Philadelphia community, especially women, children and persons with special needs.
Mercy Neighborhood Ministries will host its annual luncheon, Heart of the Neighborhood Award.  It is one of the ways that they can honor the individuals and organizations who have had a significant impact on growth and have remained faithful to mission. Below are the honorees of the evening:
Meridian Bank
Meridian Bank has been an essential part of Mercy Neighborhood Ministries’ financial stabilization since 2015. They have provided guidance in endeavors and remain the largest supporters in the State of Pennsylvania EITC program. Meridian Bank strives for innovation by remaining close to their local roots and providing high quality personal service and customer access.
Dave Fisher
Dave Fisher is a retired Philadelphia Police Detective and a native of our Tioga-Nicetown neighborhood. His current work as the Greater Philadelphia Chapter President of the National Black Police has kept him tied to this community. Dave has kept children off the streets as a little league baseball coach and has spread joy to them through his annual collection of Christmas gifts.
Sister Corinne Ritchie, RSM (posthumous)
Sister Corinne’s life-long ministry was in elementary education as teacher and principal. Corinne was a loving, gracious, woman of mercy who cared deeply for her family, friends, faculty and students. Sister Corinne was instrumental to the development of Mercy Neighborhood Ministries of Philadelphia, Inc., where she served on the board for 8 years.
