She shed light on the untold story of young Black nurses who, during the Great Depression, left the South for New York City to care for tuberculosis patients at the city’s municipal hospital after the white nursing workforce quit en masse.

Award-winning actor Morris Chestnut, best known for his roles in “Boyz N The Hood” and “The Best Man,” spoke on Wake Up With WURD about his lead role on the upcoming medical-mystery drama “Watson” on CBS. Chestnut discussed how his character works to solve a case in each episode and the thrills attached to a thickening plot.
