In celebration of Black History Month, WURD –in partnership with The Bryn Mawr Film Institute – invites you to join us on, February 21 at 6:30 p.m., for a special film screening of Origin, the highly acclaimed film, written and directed by Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Ava DuVernay. This biographical drama adaptation spans the globe, illustrating the powerful journey of author and Pulitzer Prize winner Isabel Wilkerson, based on her bestselling book, Caste, The Origins of Our Discontents. 

This special screening will include a talkback following the film hosted by Evening WURD’s host – Dr. James Peterson and Dr. Belinda Waller-Peterson. Join us at the Bryn Mawr Film Institute, 824 West Lancaster Avenue, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania – just minutes outside of Philadelphia.
