Details

Motown the Musical is the true American dream story of Motown founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson, and many more. Motown shattered barriers, shaped our lives, and made us all move to the same beat. Now, experience it live on stage in the record-breaking smash hit Motown the Musical!

On January 14 at 6 p.m., 900AM-WURD’s Stef Renée will host a pre-show chat with Motown the Musical cast members Jamarice Daughtry, Jesse Nager, and Ashley Tamar Davis (bios) in the Ballroom at the Academy of Music. Also joining Stef will be the architect of The Sound of Philadelphia — Philly’s Motown — music legend Kenny Gamble, as well as Detroit native and NBC-10 news veteran Harry Hairston.

Doors open at 5:45 p.m. for this can’t-miss event!

Motown the Musical will be at the Academy of Music through January 18.

**PLEASE NOTE: This event is free, but entry to “Motown the Musical” requires a paid ticket.**
