Building the Black Agenda Live Broadcast: Hakim’s Bookstore Cash Mob

Join WURD Radio while we continue to Build the Black Agenda, created by Solomon Jones! We’re putting our money where our mission is by organizing a cash mob on Saturday, March 22, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., at Hakim’s Bookstore (210 S. 52nd St, Philadelphia)—Philadelphia’s first Black-owned bookstore.

The Black Agenda’s first cash mob at Sharswood Grocery Outlet, owned by Black business owner, Donta Rose, saw a 26% increase in sales, as compared to the same day and time from last year. Let’s keep the trend going by supporting yet another Black-owned business in Philadelphia. We will be hosting a live broadcast with criminal defense attorney and activist Michael Coard. Come out, shop Black, listen live, and support this historic pillar of the Black community.
