Repatriation to Africa: Studying, Living and Working in the Motherland

Blaxit, a term inspired by Brexit, Great Britain’s exit from the European Union, is a term that has been used to describe what could possibly be the next Great Black Migration — a Black exit from the Western countries and a return of African Americans/diasporans to their ancestral homeland.

Ghana has emerged as one of the most popular destinations for those in the African Diaspora where an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 African Americans and people of Caribbean descent have repatriated.

On Wednesday, Feb. 15, Christa Sanders-Bobtoya and Muhammida El Muhajir — two African American women from Philadelphia who have repatriated to Ghana and recently received citizenship in the country — will share their experiences studying, living, working, starting a business and investing in Ghana.

This session is an opportunity for those considering traveling, studying or doing business in Ghana to gain insight, advice and get your questions answered. To register for this event, click here.
