Dr. Ayana T. Hardaway is the founder and editor in Chief of Wildflowers & Co. Publishing. She joined Dr. James Peterson on Evening WURDs to discuss her new book “From Crack Mother to Wildflower: Writing to Transgress—The Sankofa Writing Method,” which takes a deep-dive into Black woman-centered groups during the 80’s crack epidemic.

Laura C. Chavez-Moreno is a qualitative scientist and author of “How Schools Make Race Teaching Latinx Racialization in America” joined Dr. Peterson for the weekly Tuesday teach-in segment on Evening WURDs. She talked about how the term was imposed onto Latin Americans through colonization.

Ashley Jimenez is the executive director of “The Center for Hope,” a city-funded homeless shelter and Antonio Clark is a current participant in The Center for Hope. They both joined Reality Check with Tonya Pendleton to talk about the many services the shelter provides and how it makes an impact.  

Attorney Damon Tyner discussed the federal cases against Donald Trump. He explained on Wake Up With WURD with Solomon Jones how exactly these cases will be dismissed as Trump assumes office in January with presidential immunity. 

Dr. Timothy Golden is a visiting Professor of Philosophy at Whitman College. Dr. Golden spoke to Solomon Jones about the postponed Trump sentencing scheduled for this week from a legal standpoint and what it means to have a president with a criminal record.
