You’re invited to a special in-person edition of the Black WURDs Book Club! Join WURD Radio President & CEO Sara Lomax-Reese and Harriett’s Bookshop owner Jeannine Cook on May 12 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Comcast Technology Center (1800 Arch St.) for an exclusive virtual interview with legendary author Alice Walker on her new book “Gathering Blossoms Under Fire.”

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of Walker’s iconic book “The Color Purple.”

For those who have RSVP’d, proof of COVID vaccination and I.D. are required for admission.

If you haven’t RSVP’d the deadline has passed, but you can still tune in on 96.1FM, 900AM, wurdradio.com, the WURD APP, and on WURD TV via Facebook @ForWURD or Twitch @WURDRADIO.
