There more options than ever to get free food in and around Philadelphia this summer. For kids and teens in particular (18 and under), there are actually more than 1,000 places in Philadelphia that serve free meals and snacks. Read on for details.

Identity, and the terms we use to name ourselves, can be prickly drink-and-dinner conversation. Black. Colored. Negro. Afro-American. African-American, with or without the hyphen. Moorish. Original Asiatic. Seems like we diasporic folks can’t seem to settle on just one descriptor, nor should we have to, in my opinion.
