“The show will feature a heavy parade of guests who are both newsmakers, and opinion-shapers, and all of them will be challenged to offer relevant explication for why they are doing what they are doing,” says Taliaferro.
The show will always feature authors with new and timely works, and regular segments that allow for expert discussions and advice – such as – “The RelationShip” which allows for on air introspection with licensed therapists, and “PRESSing Matters”, which will feature a roundtable discussion of working journalists discussing current events.
The ultimate aim of the show is to contextualize events and news in a way that allows common people to proactively determine how information will impact them. Taliaferro hopes listeners will come away from the program better equipped to impact those people and institutions that actually make the news.
Hosted by Tonya Hopkins, this show is a flavorful exploration of food marinated in the Black experience, seared with history and braised in culture. Each week the host will fold in conversations with special guests, mix in food-focused discussions about politics, business, health & wellbeing, music, the media, film & television, literature, and the arts — while separating the facts from fiction on the origins of the food & drinks we love most.close
