Tee Alford

Terry “Tee” Alford is lauded as a pioneer Philadelphia House Music DJ and event promoter by music lovers around the world. His 40-year journey through the crates of funk and soul vinyls began in New Jersey in the early 1980’s and evolved during his college years, where he introduced the city to the sound of dance House Music. As a co-resident of Philly’s first FM radio House music mix show on WDAS in 1988, Tee quickly became recognized as a leader in the entertainment community. That same year, his first solo club residency on Sunday nights at Club Impulse would become a new template for center city dance club nightlife for the next two decades.

Since the 2000’s, Tee has established his soulful sound with multiple radio station residences and appearances at Philly’s legendary dance events like Sundae, Back 2 Basics, Pleasure Seekers Soul Picnic, NY’s Cielo, Club Shelter, D.C.’s Eighteenth Street Lounge, as well as tour performances throughout the Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Canada, Brazil, Sweden, France, Germany & Italy. To this day, his most noteworthy remixes and music releases on the Funky People Records, Joint Ventures Group & Blaze Productions labels can still be heard on music playlists worldwide.

Added to Tee’s live local play schedule is two year-old European residency called the Vibe Mode®, a downtempo soul show airing weekly from Spain on PlayaSol Ibiza Radio.FM and Brazil on BlackPointSoul.com. In January 2022, the dance mix show, Funky People Radio® LIVE, will turn 9 years old on Philadelphia’s WURD-FM.
