“Jones opened her original Star Fusion location in 2015 in Overbrook, with that outpost closing this past March. She, along with business and life partner Frederick Williams, opened the current location in June of 2020 during the height of the pandemic, and business is starting to boom as pandemic restrictions are being lifted. She opened Blu Diamond Juicery at 52nd and Walnut Streets in 2018, and plans to reopen it following a temporary closure due to COVID. At Star Fusion, Jones said she looks to hire those who have been in trouble before — people she can take a chance on to offer a new start and a steady job. “I love to give people a chance and I’m all about giving back,” said Jones. “I’m thrilled to use these ‘Independence Day-themed’ mocktails to raise funds for my community this July 4th.
