Details

Immigration, gun control, higher education – these are some of the important issues taking center stage in the 2016 presidential campaign. How these issues are decided will play a role in shaping the future of tens of millions of young Americans.
Join WURD and WHYY for our Youth Town Hall as we turn the microphones over to civically engaged teens and young adults to hear their thoughts and opinions on the issues affecting their lives.
The stars of the Youth WURDs radio talk show on 900AM-WURD will join an audience of area young people to weigh in on the topics important to the next generation of voters.
Parents, educators and youth group leaders are encouraged to bring young adults, voters and those who have not yet reached voting age.
The program will be moderated by scholars in politics and social policy.
The event will be taped for web and radio, and live tweeting will be encouraged.
