WURD Radio has launched a new and exciting series of public events for 2017 called WURD Community Conversations, moderated by Solomon Jones, award-winning journalist and host of Wake Up With WURD.
We kicked off the series to a standing-room-only crowd in January with “Generations: Speak!” — the start of action plan combining the energy of the young with the resources of the elders to fight the rise of racism.
Join us for another powerful evening of conversation and solutions with:
Michael Coard, Esq. – Civil rights attorney, activist and host of WURD’s “Radio Courtroom”
Jay McCalla – Columnist and veteran political commentator, regular guest on “Wake Up With WURD”
Shakira King – Black Lives Matter activist and organizer
