WURD Radio, in partnership with The Root, will host a live broadcast titled “Our Power, Our Promise: Shaping A Black Policy Agenda.” These two powerful African-American media outlets are joining forces to gather several dozen thought leaders to participate in a discussion about how to advance policies that will better the lives of African Americans in the post-Obama era. This event will be carried live on 900AM-WURD and 900AMWURD.com as well as Facebook Live via The Root and 900AM-WURD, and updated live on social media.
Congressman G.K. Butterfield, attorney Benjamin Crump, Solomon Jones (WURD), Jason Johnson (The Root) and Charles Ellison (Ellison Report), Judith Brown-Dianis (The Advancement Project), Rashad Robinson (Color of Change) are among those scheduled to lead the discussion, with more being confirmed.
