Dr. Rosa Clemente is an Afro-Puerto Rican activist and independent journalist. Dr. Rosa joined Dr. James Peterson on Evening WURDs to delve into the relations between Puerto Ricans and Black Americans, while exploring ideas of how to promote solidarity in times of division.

Camille Proctor is the founder and executive director of The Color of Autism, a nonprofit she founded in 2009 providing services for African American families with children on the autism spectrum. She joined Dr. Peterson on Evening WURDs to discuss The Color of Autism’s mission and initiatives and tips to better support the autism community.

Katie Sykes is the current president of Network of Extraordinary Talent Philadelphia (NExT). She spoke on Reality Check with Candace Johnson about how its community of young professionals, aged 21 to 44, work together and utilize a shared commitment to generate leadership development, economic empowerment and community volunteerism.

Christa Barfield is the owner FarmerJawn and former Level Up winner. Barfield joined Wake Up With WURD with Solomon Jones to talk about the generational trauma links between Black people and agriculture and what it means to be a Black-woman owned business.

Tyrone Jones, Maria Velverton and Ella Israeli are all a part of respective housing and renters coalitions. They discussed on Solutions with Amadee Braxton their recent collaborative campaign launch, titled “Safe Healthy Homes,” which is advocating for affordable rental units with proactive inspection checks.
