WURD’s Eye on Education series tackles the difficult issues currently facing the Philadelphia education system with a particular focus on models of success both locally and nationally.

The series kicked off on August 15 at a School District of Philadelphia press conference, continued on September 13 at the State of Education panel organized by the Philadelphia Community of Leaders at Universal Audenried High School, and will end with the WURD Speaks: Eye on Education Symposium community forum from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. (doors open at 5:30P.M.) on September 30 at the Franklin Institute (222 N. 20th St., Phila., PA).

During the WURD Speaks: Eye on Education Symposium, key stakeholders will come together to explore problems while offering solutions to our school crisis. 900AM-WURD host Eric K. Grimes (Brother Shomari) is the moderator. This event is free, but you must RSVP (see below). Please plan to join this important conversation – doors open at 5:00 P.M.!
