Just exactly will he do to land all those jobs? when he’s sponsored or co-sponsored some of the most anti-business City Council legislation ever (“ban the box”, “mandatory sick leave”, tax and fee increases. etc…). It’s amazing Kenny can show up on Black radio and talk about “jobs” in a generic non-descript and without plausible real idea how jobs will materialize (when real African American unemployment is probably over 30%). We won’t even mention the fact that although African Americans are more than 50% of the population they receive less than 3% of all City contracts, and that is something Kenny can do something about directly (but he does not dare talk about that issue).

Why not build a prison to house all the drug abusers and get them clean before they return to the community, that might be a much better idea. I don’t know many prisoners that are interested in a college education, don’t you have to graduate from high school first. I don’t know to many tax payers who are interested in paying college tuition for convicts when they can’t afford to send their own law abiding kids to college. Jim Kenney you are full of lots of liberal pie in the sky ideas that won’t work. You will be known as the mayor that created another Detroit. Maybe we can start a write in campaign for mayor in November.
