Civil rights attorney and Democrat Larry Krasner is the Primary winner in the Philadelphia District Attorney race; he’ll face Republican candidate Beth Grossman in the November General Election. Krasner, who has never worked as a prosecutor before, beat the other six Primary candidates in a decisive win, garnering 38% of votes cast.
In the race for Philadelphia City Controller, Democrat Rebecca Rhynhart defeated three-term incumbent Alan Butkovitz in what many are characterizing as a stunning upset. Rhynhart will face Republican Michael Tomlinson in November.
