Michael Slager, the former South Carolina policeman caught on video earlier this year chasing and fatally shooting Walter Scott in the back eight times, has been indicted for murder by a grand jury. Scott, who was unarmed, was shot as he fled from Slager after being pulled over.

According to news reports, murder was the only charge the jurors were asked to consider. If convicted, Slager faces a minimum 30-year sentence, with a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole.

Someone needs to correct this article. It states Michael Slager “has been convicted”, that is not the case.
He was indicted, not convicted, big difference.
