On March 7 (2015) 900AM-WURD presented its third Wellness 101 community health education symposium – this time in celebration of Women’s History Month – with Healthy, Wealthy and Wise: A Woman’s Guide to Wholeness.

On February 28, 2015 – the third anniversary of Trayvon Martin’s death – Arcadia University hosted “Letters to Trayvon” – the culminating event of an engaging project celebrating Black men and boys through art and conversation.

Join us for a year-long celebration of Zydeco music with a series of live concerts, dances, film screenings, panel discussions, radio specials, multimedia content, and an essay-rich website that showcases the history of zydeco music.

In celebration of Black History Month 2015, 900AM-WURD, in partnership with The Library Company of Philadelphia, presented WURD Speaks: 150 Years of Freedom Fighting on February 25 as part of its Walter P. Lomax, Jr., MD Speaker Series.
